Morbid Angel is one of the few ones that started to suck. I'd say the vast majority is still good.

I hear what you're saying...surely there is validity. But IMMO = still one of the best and while the production was a dissapointment (for some) the music as a whole was still GradeA good shit!

Majesty's production was nice, at least. But yea I agree, the sound of Failure or Unholy is really crushing.

The mixing and mastering was done by the imcompetent scene kid Zack Ohren for Majesty and Decay, Providence EP and Kingdom of Conspiracy. He has a long resume of inferior core bands he's done production jobs for, so im not surprised by the modern sounding gimmicks. Immolation would benefit from going back to using Paul Orofino who produced amazing masterpieces like Close to a World Below, Failures For Gods and Unholy Cult!

Yea I pretty much agree with you. It's still a very good Death Metal album, way above most actual bands productions, but shit... The drum sound especially, so bad for Immolation. Also, they basically based themselves on Majesty and Decay and Providence to do quite the same thing, which is disappointing for this band. However, speaking of Nile and Meshuggah, both their last releases are REALLY disappointing.

Immolation are one of the best to, since all the ones like Morbid Angel and Deicide went to shit, it's good to know some bands keep it true.

I agree! Incantation was best when recording with analog equipment instead of this new polished sound. Still much better than Kingdom of Conspiracy!
