Forgot to say that I recently heard from Harold's widow who since remarried. She and I share the same birthday but she is younger than I am. We were good friends and she and I met up in London in about 1975 when I was with my significant other Earl Palmer who was on tour with Maria Muldaur. I can't recall if it was 74 or 75 but Harold's wife and I hung out. Earl was playing nights with Maria and the band and recording days at George Harrison's recording studio at Friar Park, George's home.

Hi, exjazzbassbaz, you know it is the truth. I am now in my seventies as well. I am still gigging. With jazz one only becomes well versed and knows how to deal with musical performance without fear or intimidation. I could say the same re dealing with life. Kudos to you, and keep swingin' through life. Every year during the seventies and eighties, Dick Gibson in Denver had a jazz radio station and had a huge jazz party every year where I could renew musical acquaintances.

You are a filthy demonic POS that would not recognize the truth if you saw it written on your face. It is the truth and I knew many of many of the greats as good friends and booked a jazz club in Studio City, CA. You are not old enough to have known the people I counted as friends. Go get your electroshock, creep.

Because I am not young like you. Been in the jazz scene for many years. Not a little story. Don't need to delineate my bio here. Booked jazz club in Studio City, worked Europe, Nevada in the old days. Zoot worked a gig in the Canary Islands when he got married in 1970. I was on that gig 1 yr. I went to Morocco. Zoot did the gig with Jimmy Guorley and Irv Rochlin. Club was owned by Don Jetter and Jimmy managed it in Las Palmas. Dex, Tony Scott, Brew Moore, Harold McNair also worked it.

@BuckshotLaFunke1 Hey Buckshot, I was working jazz gigs that's why, at a time when the greats were around. Now, of course, it is a different era. I began singing as a child and was raised in a culture of music and art. The music was happening. Different scene today. It was firsthand, and now second and third hand knowledge. Also worked with Dexter Gordon on that gig and ran a jazz club in California. I don't need to do the resume! Been there with many great memories of great friends.
