A beautiful song. I have chosen some Scottish scenery to highlight the messages in the song. The images are principally of the Western Isles.

The track comes from "In Search Of Angels" released in 1999 with vocal by Rory Macdonald.

This morning, at 2:30 A.M., my best best friend, my blood brother, sat with his Mom as she passed away in her own bed at home. She was like my 2nd Mom. In the past 4 years, I've lost my Mom, my Aunt/G-dmother, & now my 2nd Mom. They all lived good long lives; but I still miss them all. This song is a great soothing moment in time for me, whenever I listen to it. Thank you Runrig for all the songs you've sung which have enriched my life for the last near 40 years.

I spent 10 summers on North Uist in the 80s, pure Paradise! no where else on earth like it, as for Runrig...possibly the best folk/rock group in the world!!!!!!!!!

My sons father was born in New Tolsta and so was his mother and father. Stornoway was like the 'big town" to them. The Isle of Lewis what a lovely place, hold's a big place in my heart. To see my son and his father standing beside there fathers and grandfathers grave on peaty ground with the Atlantic as a backdrop. Father and son holding hands and crying for a man neither of them knew will always be a heartfelt memory that will be with me forever with much love.

Thanks Cathy. I used to live in Port Henderson. On a clear day I could see Skye, Raasay, Lewis & Harris out my living room window. I've been to Skye & Raasay, but never did get to Uist.

I've been to Uist, such a beautiful place, although the weather was bad when i went, and it's so derelict, i remember we took the small calmac ferry over to barra and i needed the toilet and the person said the nearest toilet was "only" around the corner at the pub, only two hours later after going round more than "a corner" down the road between the peat filled field we finally got there. Then took the post office bus back to the ferry :P
