If you noticed, most musically talented artists are usually very friendly and open. I loved this artist's music--especially oh what a lonely boy, which resonated very much with me. RIP Andrew Gold. RIP Golden Girls Rue McClanahan, Estelle Getty, and Bea Arthur. What a fabulous song to have been chosen for such a wonderful how of actresses.

I had no idea he wrote this or even recorded it. Also wondering, how did he pass? Sad that so many of those I grew up listening to are no longer with us.

I worked in a record store in 1976 in Lakewood Colorado .On a cold winter day I answered the phone and the voice on the other end asked if we carried The Beatles Yesterday and Today on cassette tape. We had it in stock and within the hour a Yellow Cab pulled up in the parking lot with Andrew Gold in it. He came in to the store and was very friendly and told me he needed the tape to learn the song Dr. Robert which he was going to play at a downtown Denver concert club strangely enough called Ebetts Field .He signed the store copy of What's Wrong with this Picture and left. I was struck by what a nice guy he was and how relate able he seemed I am sure you must miss him terribly and I was saddened by his passing Signed a Fan and an acquaintance
