In Memoriam - Les Choristes [Music by Bruno Coulais] video free download

This is an exceptionally beautiful piece of contemporary music sung by trebel voices with Descant. The descant for this piece is sung by Jean-Baptiste Maunier. Although contemporary it is reminiscent in parts to the Baroque era and some parts sound as if they have just come from Bach's B minor Mass.

The choir are singing Kyrie Eleison (Lord have mercy on us) Christe eleison (Christ have mercy on us)

Kyrie eleison (Lord have mercy on us) which is Greek and forms part of the proper of the Roman Catholic Mass, particularly that of the traditional Latin Mass.

I have provided 2 versions of the "In Memoriam" the first with full orchestra and the 2nd A Capella - in which you can appreciate the full richness and beauty of the music the boys are singing.
