If you play a floyd rose I advise you to stay in drop D at lowest. I've learned my lesson the hard way unfortunately. And I didn't mean tune the guitar down, I meant set the neck to a specific tuning. Also ofcourse the lower you go the thicker you want your strings.12 years ago

ah-ah-ah not a chance i would go into drop a# .. i play a razerback whit floyd rosd,, my guitar is drop d but even if i try to put it into drop c# the frets start to die.. so i keep in drop d alwasy lol12 years ago

Yep, and that's not even the lowest tuning in metal. I mean lots of metal bands use seven strings when going beneath A# but there are some who play even lower. If you wanna have your guitar in A# ofcourse I advise you to go to your local guitar shop and get it set to that tuning otherwise you will ruin your neck. Also you will need thicker strings. I use .11 in drop C you would probably wanna go for at least .12.12 years ago

Yeah, most IF songs are played in Drop A#, and some in C standard I believe. At least all their songs are in quite a low tuning. Nothing near E haha.12 years ago
