i wanted to bring out the melancholy singing quality in this, so played mostly as a duet of bass and treble, emphasizing the bass line. Played in bandoneon ML on the melody, and without low basses. But this combination made the melody go below the basses in the B music, so I begin the B music an octave higher to avoid that. The variation was going to be improvised, but I practised it for security.
