The reason this band chose this label and didn't want the huge label is because they love what they do. Big labels make artists miserable and then they put out shit music. Imperial will always be great because they love what they do. Just like a warrior of old. They did it because they loved it and that should apply to any aspect of life. Music classifications are made by critics. Critics are made by former stuck up douchbags that try to find meanings in shit movies like Traffic and think it is everything.
