Still doesn't change the fact that their Carcass covers are bland and their sound takes no notes from goregrind and takes pretty much all influence from hardcore, sludge, and thrash.

That's actually on Requiems of Revulsion, which is a compilation which had some bands that weren't really influenced by Carcass *cough*pig destroyer*cough*.

Any goregrind band owes something to Carcass, Impaled are clearly not a Carcass clone, but Carcass did it first and did it really well, so there's going to be a little Carcass in any good goregrind.

For everyone complaining about the quality, you've obviously never listened to real goregrind, such as Reek of Putrefaction. The production on this album is frikken brilliant and it really helps to enhance that feeling of putrifying feculence which makes Impaled so god damned tasty.
