Winnipeg's Imaginary Cities were birthed in a club auspiciously called the Cavern—recall the Beatles and their residency at Liverpool's Cavern Club—by Marti Sarbit and Rusty Matyas, who was formerly a member of the power pop band the Waking Eyes and is a current player with the Weakerthans. The duo's recent LP, Temporary Resident, has done well in their native land, reaching #1 on both !earshot and CHARTattack Canadian National Charts. Not bad for this promising group with a multi-talented instrumentalist in Matyas, who played all the instruments on the album, and Sarbit with her rousing, unique voice. Directed by Jeremy Fisher.

Great video to go with this brilliant lil' song, which showcases Ms Marti Sarbit's voice so well! Imaginary Cities are on their first European headlining tour this month (March 2012). There're loads of other videos from this band here on YouTube, and if you like these then why not check out their stunning debut album 'Temporary Resident' (which features this track), available at imaginarycities.ca; and see what more and more people are talking about at facebook.com/IMAGINARYCITIES.

Saw them last night. All I can say is go see them in a club before you have to see them in an arena. Because that is not far away. They are AWESOME.

*Imaginary Cities' Ride This Out...*'Lately I've been losing sleep, investing myself in this "thing"You tell me, "it's not happening", but I'm gonna ride this out...'Check out this band: soulful, raspy-voiced girl singer, folksy-rock guitar/piano and a hook you'll have stuck in your head all day

Bought this album a few months ago and spent two weeks listening non-stop. Planning a trip from Wisconsin to Louisville to see them.
