I like the cut of this song on I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, the doc about wilco. the guitars are loud and up front in the mix, not this which focuses on the synth and Jeff's voice, sounds more like radio pop

This is one of my favorite songs. There's a cover by a band from Milwaukee called The Celebrated Working Man who did a cover of this that I really like. It's an original take with a innovative arrangement and orchestration: viola, accordions, tambourine, double bass, acoustic guitar and electric guitars, a tom tom that sounds like a timpani, really beautiful backing harmonies and a singer with one hell of a voice. With material like this, it's pretty hard hard to fuck it up, but they do a really genuine cover that's worth checking out if you can find it.
