John's sound on alto was pure Kansas City, and all of us alto players back then in KC were simply driven mad because of his remarkable abilities and steadfast delivery. He was the absolute bending end - and in our musical hearts, he still lives! Kansas City... Is NED WHITE (and his Conn Naked Lady) still on the scene???12 years ago
