This song was written by Richard Kerr and Will Jennings. Kerr wrote Mandy with Scott English. Kerr and Jennings later wrote Looks Like We Made It, and Somewhere In The Night, all of which were made famous by Barry Manilow. Helen Reddy recorded Somewhere in the Night a few years earlier before Manilow, and it was a minor hit for her. Batdoff and Rodney, Kim Carnes, and Yvonne Elerman all previously recorded Somewhere in the Night before Manilow and Reddy.
