This never, I mean never, fails to give me goose bumps! I remember the first time I heard this years back... and it still has the same effect on me.

This sung in Okinawan. Mugens native people the Ryukyu speak it. It's actually very sad.

If one day they make an assassin's creed who take place in japan i wish they'd use this soundtrack, at least for a commercial. Sorry for the bad english, not native language.

You know what I love about Samurai Champloo? It inspired me to research the Ainu, and Ryukyuan people... Two cultures that have been under major discrimination, and forced to assimilate themselves into Japanese culture - it was only recently that Japan passed a law that allowed the preservation of Ainu culture, but Okinawa (Ryukyu) sill faces some oppression. Samurai Champloo is a fantastic anime, that shares a really interesting story, with interesting characters... but it also gives us a look at the real feudal Japan and some of the other cultures that existed back then.

This is beyond describable words. This is the very human soul in audible form. One of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
