Lyrics:

Anytime I want I got a right to move

No matter what they say

Anytime I want I got a right to move

No matter what they say

Honey, I got a right, right to move

Anytime I want, any old time

Honey, I got a right, right to move

Anytime I want

Anytime I want I got a right to sing

No matter what they say

Anytime I want I got a right to sing

No matter what they say

Honey, I got a right, right to sing

Anytime I want, any old time

Honey, I got a right, I got a right to sing

Anytime I want

Yeeeeeeaaaaaooww

[solo]

Anytime I want I got a right to move

No matter what they say

Anytime I want I got a right to move

No matter what they say

Honey, I got a right, right to move

Anytime I want

Honey, I got a right, right to move

Anytime I want

I said Hey hey hey hey, alright!

Do ya feel it

I got a right

It isn't just the crushing riff and the speed-"I got a right to sing any time I want" has the entire concept of Punk in one line.

No matter what anyone else tells you- this is Punk here, fast, fierce and ferocious and everything else pales in comparison.

if you listen to "I'm Not Talking" by the Yardbirds you could find who inspired The Stooges...

Williamson is probably the better composer, Asheton is probably better at jamming, but its mostly the humbuckers in the Gibson that do it

When I first heard the beginning of this song in 1977, I just said "Oh Boy!"

Nobody was playing like this in 1972. The roots of speed metal/hardcore/punk starts here. Unfortunately nobody was listening to this fearsome blast of sound, which is why it wasn't released at the time. That's the price you pay for being too far ahead of your time.

Before I found Iggy Pop/The Stooges, I was listening to rap and I gotta say, I made a killer fucking transition. This is fucking amazing, I can feel that bass in my veins and Iggy's voice sends shivers all throughout my body, that guitar is raw as fuck, the drums make me wanna dance and break shit, this is FUCKING AWESOME.
