oh the memories of this song, wish I could go back to those days, 1985 I was a junior in high school I fell in love, and this was our favorite song to slow dance too, at 22 we broke up, and I've single since. i'm 47 now, everytime I listen to this song, it makes me cry!!!!

The greatest decade for music was the 1970's, IMO. The Motown sound with Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, Diana Ross, and Gladys Knight. Folk music from artists such as James Taylor, Jim Croce, America, and Bread. They knew how to tell a story and how to rip your heart out with their lyrics. What we now consider "classic rock" from bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, are finding new generations of fans. I doubt Justin Beiber will have a following 30-40 years from now.

There's a lot of negativity, misery and suffering in the world. I'm sitting here trawling through sweet soul music of my childhood and what's going on in the middle east and Africa don't seem so tragic. This song brings tears to my eyes. The yearning and pain in Teddy Pendergrass's voice momentarily banishes the ugliness outside. Beauty exists!
