This song is from a wonderful CD called "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow", featuring the bluegrass band The Cox Family, joined by Alison Krauss. You might think it's Alison singing lead, but it's actually Suzanne Cox, who has a voice similar to Alison's. The message of the song is that knowing Jesus is more meaningful than anything this world has to offer - "I'd rather have Jesus than anything..."

It's from "My Utmost for His Highest." I've been using that wonderful book as my daily devotion for about 25 years.

Love Suzanne Cox - far more mellow than Alison Krauss. Beautiful hymn, everlasting.

Suzanne's voice is actually a bit stronger and more dynamic than Allisons, imho...

Not exactly, but very similar. If you listen to a song from each of them as lead vocalist, with a pair of high quality headphones, then you can tell the differences, friend.

Hi Rachyl, I have this song on cassette & CD, just in case. You're right about everything you said. I wish more people would realize these simple truths.

I used to own this album on cassette and its hard to find on CD. I love Jesus and love to walk with Him in His light. Although I mess up sometimes, Jesus forgives. He died on the Cross for all of humanity. The Love He shows us is amazing. He has answered many of my prayers for healing of family and friends.

You are right on, iChristianGurl, considering how short our lifespan is, compared to an Eternity with Jesus. I am actually looking forward to going to Heaven, & get away from the superficial nature of people who claim to 'believe in God' but do not act, live or speak as if they really do. Thank you for your most welcome comment, I totally agree with you!
