Horror Show is an album by the American heavy metal band Iced Earth, released June 26, 2001. It is a theme album based on classic monsters and horror-movie icons, including Dracula, Frankenstein, and the ghost from Phantom of the Opera. It was the first Iced Earth album to feature drummer Richard Christy, and the only album to feature Steve DiGiorgio on bass, though he didn't tour with the band. Horror Show is usually considered Iced Earth's only straightforward power metal release, as little of the thrash metal influence from the band's earlier works is present.

There was a special limited-edition 2CD set. The second CD featured the instrumental track "Transylvania" (an Iron Maiden cover) along with an interview with bandleader/rhythm guitarist Jon Schaffer. There is also a single-disc version with "Transylvania", but without the interview.

Jon Schaffer - Rhythm, Lead, Acoustic Guitars, Vocals, Mandolin, Keys

Matt Barlow - Lead Vocals

Larry Tarnowski - Guitar solos in all songs except "Ghost of Freedom"

Richard Christy - Drums

Steve DiGiorgio - Bass (Credited as 'Guest Musician')

Yunhui Percifield - Lead Vocal in "The Phantom Opera Ghost" as "Christine", Backing Vocals

Richie Wilkison - Backing Vocals

Rafaela Farias - Backing Vocals

Sam King - Backing Vocals

Jim Morris - Backing Vocals, Keys, Guitar Solo in "Ghost of Freedom"

Howard Helm - Keys (Pipe Organ) on "The Phantom Opera Ghost"

Am I the only one who was nostalgic about this song after playing Metal Gear Rising?

*Lyrics*I... I am a bastard sonConceived of a hundred menNow I'm the Chosen OneBack, looking backFather William called me JohnnyBut my mother called me JackI... I scream out to youAs I see them take youHell, it put me throughYou... you gave me lifeThen ripped out my emotionAnd replaced it with a knifeI cut you once, I cut you twiceYou're my midnight sacrificeYou shamed me... you shame GodYou scream my name, and now you're goneI've seen the rain wash over you a thousand timesYour flesh summons meGod knows whyRepent your sins to meNow... you're no different nowStill the same, the Devil's whoreLilith on the prowlI... I've got something for youI know what real pain isAnd you will tooI cut you once, I cut you twiceYou're my midnight sacrificeYou shamed me... you shame GodYou scream my name, now you're gone

The exact quote is "Son of 100 maniacs", but yeah, pretty sure it's a reference to NOES. :)

Usually their bassists are sub-par, but they got lucky with having Digiorgio on this one. He absolutely rips up the neck!
