Yeah, King Sun. My bad. You understood me though hahaha. Cube went very East Coast after leaving NWA. His firt album "Amerikkkaz Most Wanted" wanted recorded in NY and produced by NY producers. That's why NWA dissed him. Then He comes out with a group called Westside Connection a few laters when the West vs east coast fued started to pop off. Cube is an opportunist. He see's where profit is being made and taks full advantage of it. Gotta respect his hustle.

Yeah, "Wicked," good as it was, was a definite steal. But the rapper he stole it from was named King Sun (not King Tut). Sun made some great (if overlooked) CDs ("Righteous But Ruthless" is the best--if you can find it).

Here's a quote from B-Real talking about the "hook:" "To this day, I don't know if he had it first, or if we had it at the same time, or if we had it first, or what." (from "The Art of War" in XXL Magazine Issue #3, 3-3-98). Both Cube's and Cypress' songs' hooks were basically just variations on the old hip-hop concert cliche "throw your hands in the air and wave 'em like you just don't care." They just altered that expression to fit the songs. But yeah, it's cool that they squashed it.

I understand that.Rappers recycle rhymes. The thing is...Cube stole Cypress Hill's rhymes before they were even able to get it out as a single. Ice Cube's Friday song came out first but he had stolen the hook off cypress when he heard it in the studio. there's a difference between recycling lyrics and stealing. We all know cube stole the hook from his song. but either way, that's in the past, no need to have this discussion anymore. they already squashed their beef.

true that, but face reality, everybody takes people's INSTRUMENTALS & Remixes it, e.g DMX's Last hope, Ice Cube Is Not Known For Stealing, Otherwise nobody would listen to him.. its like me taking a lil gayne instrumental & making a track out of it.. it doesnt matter.. and friday was based on the film Friday, so its not intentional

Tha's not remixing. If it were a remix he would credit Cypress Hill. Friday was not a remix to Throw your set in the air. Anybody who knows about rap knows that Cube stole that song. I respect Cube and i love his music, but we all know he stole it. Even his song Wicked, he stole it from King tut, a NY rapper. Thats why Cypress dissed cube over cubes own beat. Cube is known for stealing songs. He even makes fun of himself due to that on Jacking fo beats.

@mrbig91 But he took thier "idea" only after listening to Cypress Hill's version of the song. So technically, it's stealing. Cube asked B-Real if he can have that song instead of Roll it up, Light it up, Smoke it up for the Friday soundtrack. B-Real told him he would give it to him, but that's gonna be the single of thier album. After that, Cube recorded Friday and used basically the same hook. If that's not stealing, than idk what is.

@Lynex321 He took the chorus only, plus he killed them in the beef and they squashed the beef a long time ago... Sorry, I'll correct myself, he changed the chorus to make it more like HIM, so he just took the idea behind one of their songs, he's not a swagger jacker...

@grimreaper872 ice cube stole lyrics from cypress hill to make the song "friday" so no not everything is legit
