Reminds me of Chris Botti! Holy smokes! Very mellow sound for a trumpet. I applaud you, sir.

+Allan Birmantas Totally agree.....good technique, tone and feeling for the song but at the end, I think he forgot that it was about remembering Clifford Brown, not about him.

Christ . . . It's a ballad gents. How about an ounce of subtlety?

I agree. I once heard him playing, replacing Lew Soloff, with the Carneghy Hall big band in Venice. He was young and scared but, of course, it was his best performance in my opinion. And that just because he was flying low. Now he puts too much attention to technique but the feeling is poor.

Great trumpet player, not sure about that exhibition of technique at the end though. Not in the spirit of Clifford Brown. I do appreciate his skill, technique and tone.

it's actually pronounced MOneTTe. With the T and even the O. Listen to ANY video of Dave Monette speaking and you'll hear exactly howit's pronounced. You're thinking of Monet the painter.
