Something stupid happened with her dumb Virgin label-this IS the 4th single-there's a massive gap of 6 months between the listing of 'Half The World' and 'Little Black Book'-the final single. In that time 'I Plead Was Insanity' was mixed, edited for radio in the way most were, video shot and was about to released and then I guess they felt it wasn't innocent enough or something stupid. It's like the way to do 'I Get Weak' properly but without the sap or sounding like it's almost going backwards, but that's Diane Warren for you! 'I Plead' is a single, and Kim Wilde and other women have to put up with this shit all the 'time' with singles, whereas that fucker Madonna gets a million pieces of shit of all her bollocks albums cos she's such a domineering harridan and people are thick as shit. This song = single, just like 'Too Much Water' from the following album-a single edit, though vastly different musically was recorded, but Virgin called time on Bel after her excellent version of 'Lay Down Your Arms' was issued, despite it doing well and better than many of the singles from all the earlier albums, where many hit middling Top 40 positions, but like Belinda said, many of her old guard left Virgin in 1993 and it kind of pulled the plug on a very cool album. Pathetic, as it's a cool, raw, quite different approach, but it's not so far that her fans can't go mad for those songs-"Real" is a real grower of an album and heavily emotional with real pull. But yes, her 1991 album this single above is underrated too. That's the way to do love songs and keep them cool Madogga, Minogue, Turner, bitch Craey, Dion, Sheryl Cow and the rest of you later bints. And Patrick Muldoon in the video too. Pwoarr and then some!

BEST VIDEO OF BELINDAS CAREER! This would have been a hit in America if it had been released in the clubs. The guys hot, the video is genius. This song is Godhead. As is World of Love, Live your life be free, and Little black book. But they're the only ones from that record. Godhead meaning they're wellknown in the collective consciousness. At the time, I was unhappy with her going in this direction musically, but this is one hot track and a GREAT video.

One of my all time favorite Belinda tracks. All her albums are awesome & she has more talent in her little finger than all the artists in the charts today! Back in the 80s & early 90s, there was no x-factor, no talent shows, it was hard graft all the way. She worked her ass off to get successful & it paid off. Belinda is the greatest! She's ultra sexy too!
