I used to love that song and it was great to find it again. Didn't like onions then and can't abide them now, but the song's catchy. Thanks for uploading it!

Back in LBJ days a local DJ in my area every afternoon would play Onions, L David Sloan, and The Stripper, but one day he got fired from the station for unannounced reasons. But three great pieces of music still in my head.

Remember this from "Lunch With Casey" very well. Would love to find the clip of Casey and Roundhouse Rodney "performing". Am I the only one who wonders who invented the kazoo and why?

This was an all time favorite from Lunch With Casey on WTCN_11 in the Minneapolis /St.Paul area until late December 1972.

I'd love this song if the kazoo wasn't so damn obnoxious

Thanks for the kind words! I heard my older brother singing it when I was a kid, but never heard the original until about 40 years later!

This song has a marvelous history including "Laugh In" and "Captain Kangaroo, " among others. But anyone, and everyone, who ever listened to the dulcet tones of Bill Mayhugh doing the overnights on WMAL in Washington, D. C. knows this song very well. Many thanks to Minstrelcraft for sharing this and providing a perfect video. It is great fun!!!
