Spirit was awesome. The morons that don't like them must be liberal democrats and support Rolling Stone magazine who won't help get Grand Funk in that mistake by the lake so called"Rock 'n Roll" hall of fame. AND they probably like Madonna.

One of the greatest underground radio hit songs ever committed to vinyl. Yeah plastic. Remember the tactile experience of picking up the album and holding it. Fidelity wasn't necessarily as good but the experience was a hell of a lot better than downloading. as to Spirit, a remarkable band that I was fortunate to see. Just freakin' great. Whew!!! R.I.P. Randy, Ed and John.

Spirit were one of the best, no doubts about it! Anyone who thinks they "suck" is a fucking moron, an illiterate with poor taste. And there's a few of them below who just can't help bragging about their retardation.

I saw these guys at Newport. Either 68 or 69. Maybe both.

RIP Randy -- he died 18 years today after rescuing his son from a rip current in Hawaii. Led Zeppelin should award his heirs some money for ripping his stuff off on Stairway to Heaven.

These guys were so incredibly talented and creative that they stood out even with all the great music happening at the time. They never appealed to the bubble gummers, of course, but us long-haired psychedelic freaks loved them. I played that album CONSTANTLY, man!And I still do.

Best band that no one ever heard of. I love their songs. If you play their music people will say, "Oh, that is who played that." Mr. Skin, Nature's Way, 1984, I got a Line on You, Fresh Garbage, and Animal Zoo are all great songs. R.I.P. Randy California.
