Lyrics:

Now that you're gone, I feel the pain

My heart trembles, I call your name

I miss your touch, your soft blonde hair.

I keep searching for an answer, but, it just ain't there

And I don't want to live this life

And I don't want to live this life

And I don't want to live this life

Anymore

Everywhere I turn, the finger points at me.

You'll never understand, I'm in misery.

'Cause baby without you I have no one

Oh, my sweet darling what have I done

And I don't want to live this life

And I don't want to live this life

And I don't want to live this life Anymore

She smiled at me as I held her carefully.

Her last words were "I love you", thought it set me free.

And I can't forget that look on her face

It looked like an angel as she died in my embrace

And I don't want to live this life And I don't want to live this life

And I don't want to live this life Anymore

One of the best Ramones songs from the 80s. A fitting tribute to Sid & Nancy by Dee Dee. R.I.P. them and the rest of the Ramones

"I don't want to live this life" is a poem Sid Vicious wrote to Nancys mother from Riker Island( New Yorks country jail ) after he was arrested and booked for her murder. He admitted several times to her that he killed her. Nancys Spungens mother used this line for the title of her book about being her mom. I read this book while in S.Q., its a sad story of a well to do Jewish family who had 2 other children. It almost seems like Nancy was like a demon, they did everything they could possibly do to help her. The other children turned out fine. What the book doesn't tell you is sid in his suicide note said he wanted to be buried next to her in his leather jacket and mortercycle boots. This didn't happen. Sids mom spread his ashes over her grave and one more thing about Sids mom she was the one that brought over the heroin that killed him. It was impossible to obtain 85 percent pure heroin in New York City in the late 70s. Ask Keith Richards he had to have someone bring it or would mail himself from Europe.

I just read "And I Don't Want to Live This Life" by Deborah Spungen (Nancy's mom), and I believe it corroborates what you say.

This is a song by the ramones. not the poem by sid. THIS is Sid's poem: You were my little baby girl, And I shared all your fears. Such joy to hold you in my arms and kiss away your tears. But now you're gone, there's only pain and nothing I can do. And I don't want to live this life, If I can't live for you. To my beautiful baby girl. Our love will never die...

It's odd that Deborah Spungen claimed in the book "And I Don't Wanna Live This Life" that none of Sid&Nancy's friends came forward to pay respects after their deaths...but what about this song,as well as Blondie's "Die Young&Stay Pretty"?

@SBLbossDJ420 I saw filth and fury. I felt bad for Johnny Rotten when he started crying. Its sad how Sids death was exploited like that. Fuck Malcom. I hope hes rotting in hell.
