I was always made fun of - kicked and shamed on the bus and had my mother called bad names (they call it bullied now) because I came from one of only two poor families in Ellington, CT. When I was 12 (in 7th-grade) I got the only standing ovation in a variety show for this song, along with my very first friend, Karen Bell. We were stars in the school after that, but we never drifted away from each other until I moved in 10the grade. She was awesome...I was awesome...this album is awesome to this day!

My mother passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2015 and this was one of her favourite movies. She would sing "Everything's Alright" to my brother and I when we were sick, worried, sad. She also loved to sing this song. Whenever I miss her and want to feel her with me, I listen to this song and it makes me feel like she's with me as I listen. This song will always have a very special place in my heart.
