Battle of the bands. Husker Du vs. Prince. Talk about a heavyweight matchup.

everyone should just grow a pair and stop caring what green day does. dont worry about the, let them do what they want. they're a great band, keeping rock in the music these days. sure they've lost some of their style, but they keep doing whatever they want to do and really don't care what anyone thinks of them.

Did people stomp all over the place or did they just pushed people around at First Ave?

Confession: I saw Hüsker Dü a few times in the 80s. Trivia note: I think the video was filmed at the place where Prince played in *Purple Rain*. The second song, "I Apologize", is probably my favorite Hüsker Dü song. "Take out the garbage maybe, BUT THE DISHES DON'T GET DONE!" Last trivia note: for awhile, Bob Mould was a writer for WCW.

You must vote for Bush and Obama. Good luck with that. By all means, vote for the "lesser of the two evils." Hope it all works out. It has so far, hasn't it?

It's English. Chill out. Btw, Mould isn't a flamer. He just happens to be gay. He doesn't run around going shopping with a limp wrist. If he did, I don't think I or many, many others would be fans of this band after so many years. Sorry, I know gay people, but I wouldn't be friends with them if they were complete flamers. I have girlfriends for that. God bless America. Liberalism and Jewbags in banking and media have done a great wonder destroying male identity and setting us up for fascism.

Think of how different things would have been if Bob and Grant had the guts to come out back in the day. It is funny, cause Greg looks so gay ( mustache, gym shorts) it is hilarious when you find out he was the straight one... Thats real punk

Let me get this, er, straight. To praise a band consisting of an openly gay man, an openly bi man, and a man confident enough to sport a raging mustache, you're using the term gay to discredit a very different band. Wow.

Guys, enough with this "greengay" stuff. I'm not the biggest fan of them anymore, but Dookie is a good album. Additionally, you guys should be thankful that Green Day is taking influence from Husker Du, the Ramones and the Replacements. Green Day respects the classics, and I respect them for that. Plus, there's worse music out there.....Blood on the Dance Floor, anyone?

I implore any of you nitwits that mention greengay in the same conversation with husker du to cease and desist ....greengay sucks...husker is legend

How can anyone past 15 care to hate on Green Day, Justin Bieber and stuff like that? I mean, come on, it's just music for children by children that doesn't pretend to be anything else. Perfectly harmless. If you wanna get pissed off at something, there is way more pretentious douchecrap out there that deserves a spoonful of your wrath.

Seeing Husker Du play this in Providence, R.I. in 1985 changed me forever.
