I think you may have overlooked the album title and cover. In this album they seem to have said farewell to the music industry and just started making what they wanted. I love hard rock Hurt, but this album deserves its own genre. Let it grow on you.

There are so many other vocalists out there, all the ones you listed besides Cornell are on the radio. You need to look somewhere else besides the FM station. Like Mike Patton, Phil Anselmo, Bruce Dickenson, or Ronnie James Dio. Yeah you've got some good ones listed but Aaron Lewis and Shaun Morgan aren't that great.

Hurt could put out an entire album featuring exclusively a Didgeridoo and Tambourine, and it would still kick monstrous amounts of ass. Don't complain, haha.

Got mine off of Amazon. Hopefully you found it by now considering 8 months have passed but it doesn't hurt to lend a tip.

Best lyrics for me besides J Loren is Kevin Matisyn (of Parabelle, former Evans Blue singer).

@Meandhotness I love Chevelle. Pete Loeffler and J. Loren are the best lyricists I have ever came across.

I agree that you're missing Layne Staley, and Christopher Hall as well.

Dax Riggs is another incredible lyricist. His solo stuff plus his work with Acid Bath, Agents of Oblivion, and Deadboy & the Elephantmen are lyrically amazing.
