I have perused every lyric video and lyrics website I could find, and they all say the words at 2:15 are ". . . holding a knife I can see things better . . ." - I'm a native English speaker, yet this makes no sense to me. Why would he be holding a knife? The song is emotional and passionate, sure, but nowhere else does it sound murderous (cutting someone else) or suicidal (cutting himself) to me - the bit about the knife is quite the red herring, as far as I can tell. Am I missing something obvious?
