When this song came out -mid 70's, I really liked it--indeed, I bought it. I also had to admit that I could not fathom the lyrics at all, &, once seen, I still didn't understand just what the song was saying. --I mean, why the hummingbird ?? And, how did such spiritual lyrics come from watching the hummingbird ? --I was then informed that were I a follower of " Bahai", I would in fact, easily understand the metaphor. --Well, perhaps. --still however, I don't understand this song. I do however, love it, & love singing along to it. - Perhaps that will just have to be enough. Wolfsky9

This is a terrific presentation of one of the most beautiful songs they ever performed. The deep and reverent lyrics of the main part of the song give way at 3:20 to one of the most passionate final minutes I've ever heard. BRAVO

The lyrics is romantic poetry. I believe there is the universal spiritual world, from which not only various religions but classic arts were or are born. Science is the study of material nature, but overlooks spiritual nature. We need "spiritology."
