I just can't get over how cool this freaking band was - with and without Frampton - Marriott was such a jewel to the rock world - too bad he just couldn't get past the crap that went along with the rock business ..rip Stevie M .. miss your talent always!

Got your comment,TA! To me Marriott was the consummate rock musician, despite his demons.He played with the best cause he was the best. So many gems back then eclipsed by the big stars, I do my best to give accolades to these finest Marriott, Lane, Ray Davies, Rory Gallagher all so underrated, altho the big guns back then were pretty impressive:Floyd, Queen,Genesis,Yes,the Who etc. I can't think of groups of the 2000's or the 90s that summon up such legacies except maybe U2, Phish and Nirvana.
