LOL how is that even an argument, Hum was around years before Deftones and Chino himself spoke about how it was an influence.

Watcher can see far, constructed flash points to cover it.

So this was the inspiration for one of my favorite albums of all time. I can see the influence and this awesome too. I sort of dream to be a musician myself would be awesome as hell to admit where my influence came from !

I was at a used CD store and the guy working there recommended electra 2000 to me when he saw some of the music I'd picked out to get. I had never heard of them, 'Stars' and 'You'd prefer an astronaut' hadn't been made yet- I was incredulous to get it, but decided to anyway. I listened to their disc and was impressed. I remember pre-ordering 'You'd Prefer an Astronaut' and waiting like Christmas for it to come. I was not disappointed. I was Blown Away. This album was so epic, just so beautiful and perfect. I must have listened to this disc and 'Downward is Heavenward' literally thousands of times. To this day probably my two favorite albums ever. For the relatively low profile, and small amount of air-play Hum got back in the day, it's amazing how much their sound was imitated since. Anyway, Total Fking genius.

+MrVesanique And if you had a fucking brain in your head you would know that the Deftones openly admitted that Hum was the reason for their sound, not the other way around. Dumb ass.
