A video from my old account (metallicafx), originally uploaded in September 2006. Couldn't believe no one reuploaded this one so I thought why not? Metallica playing Holier Than Thou live first time ever, it had been rehearsed before but this was its official live premiere. James forgets the lyrics on some parts because at the time the song was rarely played despite of the rehearsals and james was obviously drunk as hell.

This isn't the premiere of this song, they played this at the first show of the tour in Oakland, CA '91 they soon dropped it but only played it early in the tour.6 years ago

What a mess performance for metallica, james forgets lyrics and sung like he couldnt give a toss, kirk coming in with the bridge solo in the chorus, the band didnt rehearse for sure for this song, jason was out of place at times..surprisingly lars kept the drums as to studio version lol.
