lyrics:

How many more years, have I got to let you dog me around

How many more years, have I got to let you dog me around

I'd soon rather be dead, sleeping six feet in the ground

I'm gonna fall on my knees, I'm gonna raise up my right hand

I'm gonna fall on my knees, I'm gonna raise up my right hand

Say I'd feel much better darling, if you'd just only understand

I'm going upstairs, I'm gonna bring back down my clothes

I'm going upstairs, I'm gonna bring back down my clothes, do them all

If anybody ask about me, just tell'em I walked out on

Slavery, discrimination, lack of civil rights, being a black man in America from 1600 to about 1970, that's the blues

FIRST OF MAY IN BLUES:Howlin' Wolf - How Many More Years (1966)

This 1966 film captures the energy of Howlin' Wolf's early Memphis recordings when he invented Rock and roll in 1948, playing here a song that I was unable to identify (there's no vocal chorus, just a lengthy complaint followed by a retraction and confession). It is neither "How Many More Years" nor "Moanin' After Midnight".

There are notes and inflections but it's not nearly As heinous as some of their other stealing sins.

I see the influence but not quite ready to admit Led Zeppelin stole the song.
