Never forget , I met Howard on My 18th birthday, He was sitting behind Me at the Albertos/Devo gig at the Free Trade Hall, He signed My ticket and was inclined to talk, what a nice man.....bumped into Tony Wilson later but that was no big deal, He was everywhere !

This is hilarious. Love the show, but Jools is clearly not comfortable interviewing Mr. Elusive and Howard is also rather coy in his responses. Quite clearly indeed the audience doesn't seem to know who these groundbreakers are!

now im not the best magazine fan but ....i was gripped by the song way back when probably in 1978-9 called ...i am a biro .. never heard it since only on john peels radio show back then , can anybody dredge it up from the past ????

Actually, Devoto has one of the best speaking and singing voices in music. Morrissey, Lou Reed, Leonard Cohen etcetera are held among him.
