How do you get the click track to the whole band?

I bought a 3.5mm Stereo to two 3.5mm Mono splitter to run from my IPod and have the click going to the drummer headphones, and backing track to the PA. The track has split successfully, but the drummer only gets the click in one side of the headphones and the backing track only comes out one side of the PA, how do I fix this?

If you don't have an in ear system, and you go with the headphone splitter alternative, is this a Left/Right splitter?

If you faintly hear the click in the p.a system still, something is causing 'crosstalk'This could be on the track itself, or more likely, something to do with the output of your device/cables. For instance, I've used an iRig mix DJ mixer in the past coming from a nexus 7 and that works perfectly, with absolutely no crosstalk, but an ipod touch with headphone splitter has caused crosstalk. Before you do anything though, load the files you are using live back into your DAW and zoom in on the waveform, check the side which is going to the p.a and if there are slight peaks in audio consistent with the click, then something has caused crosstalk while you were making the actual audio file, which is usually some form of plugin

Great video i just have one question how exactly do you run tracks when using an audio interface is it just two jacks Left & Right output to the PA man (front of house) and then just for the drummer to plug in some in ears into the interface itself?

I used the iPod and signal splitter technique. But no matter which signal I listen to (click or track), I only get it in one ear. PLEASE HELP.

Thanks for this video, but I am a bit confused. Is this using a drumless backing track? And do most backing tracks found on YouTube have a click track? This is the first video I have found to address jamming with a backing track. Much appreciated.
