I was named Jethro 75 years ago the team Homer & Jethro were household names, but Hillbilly was a negative term, so at the age of 9 I changed my name to Jeff.My father's family were West Virginia hillbillies, I tired of the teasing about my name, maybe I should have kept my full name Jethro Sterling Ramsey and become an actor instead of a stuntman?Too late now.Jeff

Have heard Dolly's version and Tammy's version, and they're good. Then I heard Billy Connolly's version, and Billy's version I believe did better in the charts... and now I've heard this version and this one is the icing on the cake as far as versions are concerned (absolutely love it).

My little brother and I used to listen to my mum's lp of Homer & Jethro, and for the rest of out lives we sang those songs to each other, with much laughter and love. We left phone msgs for each other and would just sing a line or two of one of their songs...just luv it!!!!!!
