yes i recommend it! there's a usb port, so you can choose to use it either as a midi controller or a synth. the banks are great. the XL is not bad too, but it has more old-school vintage sounds, which is what i wanted initially. but i bought the XL+ in the end cause i was taken by the limited ed black&red keys. this one i'm using is more modern sounding, it even has a dubstep bank lol. so it depends what sort of sound you like. wow! lengthiest comment ever
