Hollies - Look through any window 1966

with a comment of Tony Hicks 2007

Look through any window yeah

What do you see

Smiling faces all around

rushing through the busy town

Where do they go

Moving on their way

walking down highways and the by-ways

Where do they go

Moving on their way

people with their shy ways and their sly ways

Oh you can see the little children all around

Oh you can see the little ladies in their gowns when you

Look through any window yeah

any time of day

See the drivers on the roads

pulling down their heavy loads

Where do they go

Moving on their way

driving down highways and the byways

Where do they go

Moving on their way

drivers with their shy ways and their sly ways

(comment of Tony Hicks)

Where do they go

Moving on their way

Moving on their way

Moving on their way

I saw them in '66. The thing I remember most is that they were tight as fuck! Hicks was a gem too!

Tony Hicks must be the most underrated guitarist of the entire British invasion. Was he a great virtuoso? No, but he brought a lot of variety into the music and is still carrying the Hollies flag after all these years. Good job, Tony.

Agreed, I'm especially impressed with the quality of the bass here. Very often the bass is nearly nonexistent on these early performances.

So f*cking good. My fave Hollies' song.

Unlike most rock music TV shows of the era on both sides of the Atlantic, this appears to be a live performance with no lip-synching..
