Tony is simply a monster drummer, everything he plays is creative, tight and always has amazing feel, he is a huge inspiration to me musically and It will be one of my biggest regrets that I didn't see this band when he was still in them, long live Thaxton.

Tony has been an amazing and creative drummer throughout his time with motion city soundtrack, he is the biggest influence to why i started playing drums and every time i was lacking creativity i was able to listen to some MCS and ideas would come flooding back, i wish him all the best for whatever he moves onto and know he will remain as creative as ever, motion city soundtrack will never be the same but im confident they can stay as quirky and enjoyable as ever <3

8 years ago I got an e-mail reply from my favorite drummer of all time, Tony Thaxton, telling me what kind of drum heads he uses and to this day it's the best e-mail I've ever gotten. While this may be the end of your time with MCS, I hope it's not the end of your drumming career! A DVD perhaps?
