So much nostalgia in the cut. I was 10 when Snow Day came out. This song takes me all the way back to Nickelodeon when they used to do commercials about that movie......my childhood was Straight up Awesome!!!!!

For anyone who's interested, read the Wikipedia article on "Teen Pop". I'm reading it right now on my laptop (listening from my mobile), and apparently, Pink and Hoku were I'm the same category: 'alternative' females as opposed to Destiny's Child and 3LW. The article tells you what 'happened' to all those pop stars. Since it was 'teen pop', the name of the genre, oriented for ages 10 - 19, the stars either fell off the map, boybands disbanded, people grew up, or performers Like Eminem, Li'l John, Li'l Wayne, Usher, Britney and Christiana, all had to change their sound to grow with their audiences. Songs about stalking, sexual relationships, emotional connections/relationships were the next topics vs. the prior topics of finding yourself, friendship, school problems, and bullying (long before cyberbulling came into existence because there social media barely only existed back then unless you were super-rich and most people weren't). Then the emo bands took over, and ex-Disney Stars and Ariana Grande fell onto the scene. The only one who didn't make it was, of course, Justin Beiber. (Bands like Big Time Rush (what a joke) and One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, took the place of B2K, Nsync, and Backstreet Boys. B2K permanently disbanded in 2004.) But he (Justin Beiber) came late, and the rapid access of technology made his fans grow up a lot faster in a shorter time than we did when Hoku, Nobody's Angel, and Rose Falcon were around. The article is under 'Teen Pop' on Wikipedia. I'm sharing this because I got a new pair of earbuds and wanted to listen to some music, and that Wikipedia page on Teen Pop is what brought me. 28 years old and lovin it.<3
