I agree with Marius Banica about becoming popular. As this music is seldom heard on the radio you can choose the exact time to listen to it and that makes it something more "personal". So I really enjoy discovering artists like Hiatus. It gives me something to talk about and to share with friends. I only hope the artist doesn't feel frustrated by this.

Becoming very popular is the forbidden fruit for an artist. You shouldn't want it and you don't need it because once you have it you want to stay there, anything else would not be enough, and for that you have to become commercial witch means you are no longer an artist but a factory that produces soulless garbage for the masses. That's why good music is mostly underground.
