Hermética fue una banda argentina de Thrash Metal creada en el año 1988 por Ricardo Iorio tras la disolución de V8. Fue y es ícono indiscutible del Heavy Metal argentino y sudamericano, no sólo por su música sino también por su inteligente y crítica lírica, plasmada en temas que van desde lo social (Craneo candente, Gil trabajador) y lo político (Masa anestesiada, Olvidalo y volverá por más) hasta lo filosófico (Vida impersonal, Memoria de siglos). Se disolvió en el año 1995, luego de un excelente y convocante año, debido a conflictos internos.
