It has the cold atmosphere, the rusty guitars and the grim vocals which is very characteristic in Black Metal. However it does at times seem a little to clean and "beautiful" to be Black Metal.

I listen to many black metal and few post-rock/punk/hardcore at times too, and heretoir has more in common with the latters. This is not a problem at all, of course, but I really can't see anything related to black metal in this band, except maybe for the vocals.
