This song makes a very serious point. After the second world war, there was a huge effort to prosecute and imprison/execute war criminals. After the Berlin wall came down, did the same happen to those leaders in the CommBloc that literally put their people through hell? Should they have been tried?

Today I had lunch with a Ukrainian and a German. We were talking about what it was like for them to come to America. The Ukrainian spoke of the difficulty that some Eastern European immigrants had even making choices at the grocery store. What I meant by that is the simplest defecation of a christian, (at least as I was taught to see it) which is to be an imitator of Christ. (to the best of ones ability) Not the miracles of course but the mentality and the pursuit of preaching and teaching work. I guess what I was trying to say was that I don't imagine that Jesus can have much of a grudge against a man makes a living paraphrasing and or just about quoting his own teachings. Just a random thought tho, didn't mean to make a fuss.

Ironically enough tho, even some of his newer songs seem to mirror and or reference some bible scriptures. Armour and Sword is almost plagiarism. Ironic that a man who may not believe in god might actually be closer being an actual christian than many who claim that they do. Just a thought.
