Henson Cargill managed to have 2 songs make the Top 10 on the Country Charts during his career, "Skip a rope", which spent 5 weeks at #1 in early '68, and this one, which climbed to #8 during the sunshiny springtime of 1969...It's a great song, and thanks Brent, for sharing all of these "lost" tunes that would never be heard if not for awesome people like you...Hava a fun day, and Take Care! Lizzie :)

1st time I"ve heard this song in 45 yrs. , if not more. Great social commentary, even though today's issues are much different. Same underlying message, in my book.

Bill Aken
ANSWERS.COM: Always one to stand by old friends, when Country Music Guitarist Bill Aken started his infant radio show "The Country Call Line" in the mid-1980s, Henson was one of the first to appear on the show for free to help Aken get the show off of the ground. Henson's half-hour segment with his story of 'Buford The Buffalo' remains to this day as one of the show's highlight episodes.
