This is my least favorite track on Betty but I must say it's pretty heavy live. Seems like the camera suffered from the noise aswell, so pardon the ringing.

Recorded at Metropol, Pittsburgh.

@aerialmedication I appreciate your feedback, thanks! I also agree on Speechless and undo my earlier statement. My opinion changed when I heard it live at a Helmet show last year - having it thrown at your face at 120db is how this song is meant to be experienced. Brilliant!

Anyway, you seem to be a big Page fan... and a fan of his idols (Coltrane). Cool! I like (read: worship) NIN too, and am hoping to dig deep into the likes of Bjork, Prong, Tomahawk/Patton, and Coltrane sometime. Hard work. It took me quite some time to digest Helmet too, at first they sounded too... weird and off to me. But over time I've come to see that they are something amazingly unique.

Oh come on, Speechless is NOT the weakest track on the album. That honor goes to Milquetoast. Hearing Beautiful Love come to close, and then this track opening with that huge, warm, heavy power chord... its like the album just frikkin' STARTED! Amazing track. it really would've made for a great opener track right after BL. Anyway, I checked out your myspace. Good stuff, particularly enjoyed JVH and 6.30 am. And I really, really respect the philosohpy/concept. *salutes*

Does anyone have a live version of Overrated?

Yeah his voice is definitely shot when he does the "sergeant vocals" on Monochrome. He was definitely trying the clean vocal approach on Size Matters though. Perhaps a response to the Linkin Parks of the world that got famous playing the same sort of music that Helmet did but with only a fraction of the talent?

A lot of really good music was being created by bands between 1990 to 1995 Nine inch nails, primus, Helmet, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Days of the New (the mighty underated ones), so many groups to name and roughly a decade later it seems like all the good music just plummeted. That's one of the reasons why I am playing right now to try and keep the spirit of music alive.

I simply LOVE it!!! I've never liked so much some band just like i did with Helmet... Since 2003 this song touches my soul! This tone is kinda sad, but it's so beautyful and i love it! One of the best songs of the best album of the history...

Favorite albums- Helmet meantime and betty, and then comes the best 3 piece of the 90's(by alot imho), Jawbreaker- 24hr revenge therapy Speechless is a great song, one of the only helmet tunes sung with a sad tone. I like how in the video staniers fills are so fast the camera never even picks them up.
