I loved her singing - you could actually understand the lyrics. A few years ago I bought her greatest hits album. I miss her very much, but wish her well!

The song, particularly the chorus reminds me of Leave Me Alone by Michael Jackson.

I was 12 when this song came out and I loved it. So of course, I still do. Simple tunes like this helped me to understand why people act the way do after a bad experience that obviously meant so much more to them than to the person they fell for. It made me stronger when my turn came...Well, 'til that tumultuous time of erratic love that eventually led to my/our 40 year relationship/marriage lol. (...and still counting)

So strange how that happens...you haven't thought of a song in years then suddenly there it is. I don't know what brought this to mind. I haven't heard this since I was a child, it's probably been about 40 years. I remembered the chorus, leave me alone. But I didn't remember anything about the ruby red dress. But I have one and it has special meaning for me actually, that makes it really ironic.

I didn't hear this song on the radio much at all here in the USA, so I didn't think it made the chart.

If it didn't chart, what the hell was it doing on the radio all the time when it came out?
