Heatmiser is a character from the 1974 Rankin-Bass production of "A Year Without a Santa Claus." The Badlees, of Selinsgrove Pennsylvania, recorded their own rock version of the featured song. Please visit them here: www.badlees.com

Thanks to Ron Simasek of The Badlees for giving me a copy of the song and to MERF Radio 103.5 FM for giving the song airtime.

My kids really like this song. This is for them!

@cowman1970 I'll second that, cowman. This song and the Miser Brothers' routine was a highlight for me from all the Rankin-Bass Christmas specials. I never forgot it. I haven't heard this (the original) since I was a kid until this year (I'm 39) , and what a treat! Thanks so much for posting this really cool cover! -13Danjiri

@Nuh1Uh1No1Way My local station played this over and over after Thanksgiving and would never say who it was from. I was so frustrated that I called them and asked who it was. I should've done that from the beginning.

Finally!!!! I've been looking for this damn song all month!! It's not as easy when it's a cover and you don't know the artist who did it.

@CoopNChase4ever It is quite catchy. It is easily my favorite x-mas song.

This makes me so happy to hear. The Badlees are from the area I grew up in (Shamokin, PA) and I thought it was only my area that knew of this version.
