Heather, The lyrics,,, I am a student of physics. A friend is coming to see you tonight, to sit and listen, to hear you for the first time. This is what I wrote to her.The name reminds me of where we all come from.I wrote something a few years ago,, I'll cut and paste at the end. However the core of the truth is that a burning sun, like ours, is converting hydrogen into helium,,,, fusing,,,, fusion. But when the star is old and grey, the helium can be fused to form the next steps up the periodic table, lithium , boron, carbon,,, but to go much farther requires a larger, heavier star,,, and novas and super novas,,, and they need to explode, casting their atoms outward, clouds of newly minted atoms of every weight and colour,,, to finally slow and coalesce into a new star and planets,,, and ultimately, us. Every bit, every atom in us came from the center,, not just the surface,,, the center of a star. We are children of dirt and stardust, entirely, and only. We ARE the children of stardust.Nice voice, excellent arrangements, pleasing and unexpected chords and keys. Wonderful music. You have made the dust more than the sum of its parts.
