@UkrRusSlavic Whilst I half agree, there are a few great modern Death Metal bands. Decrepit Birth, Acid Witch and Cattle Decapitation being some of the best. I still prefer the old-school bands of the '80's and '90's.

@UkrRusSlavic thats not what happened to REAL death metal. real death metal is still alive it just went underground. there are good death metal bands of today such as disma, obscura, abysmal dawn

@HerveGamerDude In the 90's period Death metal was at it's prime. Now the genre has broken down and combined with hardcore. Deathcore, metalcore etc is really fucking trash and it's the trendiest crap i ever heard. So whenever morons say death metal they mention death core band names. The genre is butchered. However progressive Death and Thrash metal bands are the best.

@dimitrijs84 I don't know they don't have as much material out there. I'll agree though that they're great. Of their 3 albums, all of them are top-notch. No missteps.
